CUTIE MARK CRUSADERS P..paper gather..ers..?

yeah.. so ive been in a cryptic mood, from watching Marble Hornets.. not to mention Ive been paranoid all week..*shivers* but i wanted to draw the CMC doing something on Halloween.. i guess it goes Kinda like this


It's the day of Nightmare Night, Ponies of all ages are getting ready for the spookiest night of the year, finishing up costumes, and treats

games were being set up in the square, and a stage for a costume contest! It was going to be a good fright of a night!.. A fright indeed.


Sweetie Belle and Apple bloom worked feverishly on their costumes, it was their third try but they were determined to make the best they could

Sweetie Belle: these costumes are going to be great! * she had a wide excited smile as her voice softly broke *

Applebloom: yea! we're sure to win first prize this year!

Sweetie Belle: *she put her hoof on her mouth in wonder* what would first place Costume contest cutie marks look like?

Applebloom: ... hmmm well ah don't know but it will be awesome!

* the door flew open and slammed against the wall, causing a scream from the two young fillies*

"oww, you two could shatter glass!" a familiar voice wrasped in

Applebloom: Scootaloo! what in the hay was that for? scare'n us like that!

Scootaloo: * she ruffled her feathers as she rolled her eyes* pfft it not my fault you two are scared of doors, * like a switch she flashed an excited smile and her wings flapped hard* I just herd the most awesome (..terrifying) story ever, and i bet it can help us get an AWESOME cutie mark

Sweetie Belle: but we're already doing that *holds up fabric, that looked wrinkled and poorly stitched, as an arm fell off*

Scootaloo: yeah yeah a costume contest Cutie mark wooulld be cool.. for babies, cmon! THIS will get us out cutie marks in no time flat~

AppleBloom: awll right, wut is it?

Scootaloo: so on dark nights, they say a monster waits for little fillies~ but he only comes for you.. when you take his.,. PAPERRR!!!...

Applebloom & Sweetie Belle:..... *turns and starts working on their costumes*

Scootaloo: awe cmon guys.. give it a try~.. its in the Everfree forest~~ We could get our Cutie marks as Monster hunters or or

Sweetie Belle: or.. Paper Gather ers? well.. i DO like paper.. Okay~! *she sprung up* besides my costume wasn't working out anyway~

Applebloom: I dont know yall.. every time we go in there something bad happ- hey! * her flank was pushed in the air as she was being pushed by Scootaloo*

Scootaloo: cmon were going! ok we need.. a flashlight cause its gonna be really dark~

The Cutie Mark Crusaders waited until night to take their adventure, they snuck off once Apple jack had begun working on running the apple bobbing stand,and Big Mac his hay ride

Scootaloo: ok girls lets do this~ * she puffed her chest out and spread her wings*

Sweetie Belle: * though scared shared her enthusiasm and skipped forward with her*

Applebloom: okay yall stay close.. remember, there are dangerous animals here

Scootloo: pff, there gonna be the LAST of our problems~

Applebloom:... that's comfort'n...not

* they circled around for hours, Sweetie loosing her hype, now dragging her hooves*

Sweetie Belle:.. we could be getting candy right now...

Scootaloo: *sighes* it must have been a mares tale to scare fillies.. im sorry girls.. maybe we can get Rarity to make us..really fast outfits..

Applebloom: *sighed in relief* lets go back to town yall

they started back when Scootaloo began to wander off

Applebloom: ah-Scoot, where you goin, Ponyvile is that way! *points her hoof in the other direction

Scootaloo: *she walked up to a large tree and cocked her head, looking at a page that seemed to have a bunch of trees and something that may be somepony standing* hey! i found a page! look! i was right! HA! * snatches it with her teeth and tucks it under her wing*

Sweetie Belle: * her excitement now rejuvenated she bounces over* cool! lets find the others~!.. how many are there?

Scootaloo: eight~ now we only have 7 left~

Applebloom: *she bit her lip and followed as the other two trotted about grabbing pages.. soon she began to twitch and look around*... girls.. I think we should leave..

Scootaloo: oh c'mon, now whose a chicken~

Sweetie Belle:..You guys ever get the feeling.. your being watched..?

Scootaloo:...now that you mention it-

Scootaloo was cut off by the ear piercing scream that emitted from Sweetie Bell

Applebloom: What!?

Sweetie Bell: I just saw somepony! * she was scrambling backwards to run in the other direction, the other two took no time to follow, after she felt safer she stopped* H--he was he ha- no * she dropped her pages and looked at them, it was a drawing of a tall figure, that said "follows " i-its the monster,, the pages we warning us!

Scootaloo:...* she was quite, her litle hear beating, remembering the pages she held, and what they said, she tried to suppress a shiver but her feathers rose as her fear did*

Applebloom: i told ya we should have left!.. Scoot.. what can we do?

Scootaloo: I- I didn't stay for the whole story.. I- I was too scared.. but i thought if you two were with me i would be braver... But i think we have to find all of the pages..

Applebloom: she frowned and looked around and held the flashlight close to her* its okay were gonna get through this.. cmon.. how many do we have?

Sweetie Belle: I have 2

Scootaloo:....I have 3

Applebloom: then we have 5.. just 3 more to go

The three fillies ran in fear trying to maneuver the dangerous forest, and avoid the monster that followed them, they encountered in more then once, it caused such a fright, their screams loud and terror filled, soon it sounded its hooves were pounding right behind them, none of them dared look back , their chest stung for air, their throats nearly raw from screaming, just one more page.. they see it, the last of the cursed pages, clear as day the words said "CAN'T RUN". With all their might they sprint forward grabbing the last page and not looking back, their hooves were sore and tired the flashlight had long died, they scrambled in the dark, when they hit somepony head on, they screamed their voices shrill , they clung to one another as the felt something lift them, their last screams echoed through the forest.

















Should't you fillies be in town enjoing the night of frights with everyone else?


Scootaloo: *she cracked open her wet eyes* Princess Luna!! * the princess was lifting them with her magic, when she let them down all of them clung to her legs, shivering, Sweetie crying uncontrollably*


Luna: * looking down shocked and confused* What frightens you young ones

Applebloom: we gotta get out of here princess! the monster will get us! * her eyes watered as she pressed her hooves on to the princess to move her*

Luna: what monster do you spea-..* she looked at the pages, then at them* girls, were you collecting these?

Sweetie Belle: *incoherently blubbers* y-yess W-we gggot all of emmm

Luna: * she laughed and patted the young ones* This is a mares tail even from my time,

Scootaloo: B-but we saw it! it was chasing us!

Luna: i see no other hooves in the mud~ this forest is filled with plants of unimaginable side affects, you all must have been under one of its spells, come i'll return you to town~

the girls exchanged looks and sighed, the Princesses words comforting, maybe they did imagine it all, maybe this was all just a prank that somepony pulled on silly fillies who were dumb enough to go looking for such a thing, they laughed and told the princess how scared thy had been but now they felt safe with her, LUna gave them all kind smiles, but looked back from the corner of her eye,and seen the sheen of a white emaciated stallion's coat.


So yeah.. Happy Nightmare night to all, dont pick up pages~
